As we enter the month of October, we want to shed light on the importance of breast cancer awareness. The Something Bigger Foundation strongly believes in the power of education and research and is partnering with the Susan G. Komen foundation.

The Susan G. Komen foundation was founded in 1982 in Dallas, TX, and is now one of the largest breast cancer organizations in the United States. The Komen foundation's philanthropy includes patient navigation and advocacy, providing information and services to help breast cancer patients navigate the American healthcare system. The foundation has also supported breast cancer research into the causes and treatments. It offers one of the country's most innovative and responsive grant programs. Since its inception in 1982, the Foundation has raised more than $200 million for the fight against breast cancer. The work funded includes basic, clinical, and translational breast cancer research.
