4th Annual Caring for Critters Brunch by Austin Wildlife Rescue

Please join us on August 14, 2021 for our biggest wildlife fundraiser of the year. Enjoy a delicious brunch and mimosas, meet our ambassador animals, and bid on some fantastic silent auction items, all in support of AWR and the 10,000 critters we will help this year.

You're Invited for Brunch!

Please join us for Austin Wildlife Rescue's 4th Annual Caring for Critters Brunch on August 14th! We are returning to an in-person event this year, and cannot wait to see everyone again. The brunch will be held at the Hilton Austin Airport from 11am-1pm. We will provide mask requests and social distancing guidelines closer to the event.

At the brunch, you will have the opportunity to meet one of our barn owls, our screech owl, and two of our raptor rehabilitator's ambassador animals.

Ron Oliveira will be emceeing the event and you'll hear from our Executive Director and Board President about all the great things happening at AWR. We'll also be presenting our Community Giving Award to Tito's Handmade Vodka for their generous support.

Thank you to the Nicholas J. Juried Family Foundation for their generosity as our presenting sponsor at this year's event.

Table sponsorships are open until July 23rd and individual tickets are on sale now. Please join us for our big event in support of AWR!

Buy a Gift that Gives Back

Each year during the brunch, we have a Wild Gifts that Give Back table. You will get to see and purchase a variety of items that give back directly to the animals. We have cages, formula, playpens, medical supplies, and more that we need to help orphaned and injured wildlife.

Meet Thurston!

Thurston is one of our ambassador screech owls who will join us for brunch, along with Dancer the barn owl.

Thurston is about four years old. He arrived with a fracture in his left wing that never healed properly. While he cannot fly, he is a great jumper and has a special indoor/outdoor cage with one of our rehabilitators. His favorite snacks are superworms and crickets, although we will not be serving either at the event!

Auction!

During the event, you will have the opportunity to bid on over 30 exciting auction items. We have several pieces of art, a basket from Tito's Handmade Vodka, owl boxes, embroidered wildlife-themed hand towels, wine tastings, a chance to join our staff on a wildlife release, and more!
